Artist Manifesto:

Purpose:

The purpose of this projects is to create a portfolio piece. I want to create a piece that shows more of a narrative element in game design. Integrating small mechanics to enhance the experience of the story. What I hope to achieve with this project is that the player will experience what it is like after its all over, when death has come. They don't really know who they are as they are feature less. I want it to be like they are discovering who they are.

 

Sleeping/ Waking-up:

Through my design, I will be able to play with colors and transitions to simulate a mechanic of closing your eyes and waking-up. This plays an important role in the story as the player relives memories, trying to figure out who they are.

 

Setting:

Art is one way that will help provide context as to where the player is without long descriptions. It helps them focus on what is being said rather than having to read about the setting and then what the other characters say. The color scheme is black and white to keep it minimalistic and simple.
